Student Conduct and Care Assistant 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Martin, TN The Office of Student Conduct and Care at the University of Tennessee at Martin is seeking a Student Conduct and Care Assistant. This position is located in Martin, Tennessee and reports to the Director of Student Conduct and Care. The Office of Student Conduct and Care serves the university community in a multitude of ways by supporting students who are referred for both conduct and care concerns. The Student Conduct and Care Assistant plays a vital role in daily operations of the office by providing administrative support such as scheduling appointments, completing correspondence, data entry and database maintenance in case management software, monitoring disciplinary hold status, tracking community service, assisting with events, maintaining internet content, and performing routine daily office functions.
Routine office functions:
opening and closing student conduct and care office, greeting guests, email correspondence, answering multi-line telephone, conveying basic procedural information in accordance with Student Handbook and Code of Conduct Provides reception and general information for the Office of Student Conduct and Care Review, maintain, and correlate incident reports, police reports, care connection referrals, and data concerning student conduct, informational, and care cases ensuring accuracy in Maxient case management software Assist in research as needed Assists with Federal Work Study Student workers with scheduling and guiding daily tasks Use templates and established documents to create correspondence concerning Student Conduct, to include drafting letters and emails Creating and maintaining electronic student files Proofing and photocopying materials, faxing, filing, etc. Monitoring Student Conduct and Care office email accounts Tracking and ordering supplies and equipment Maintain appointment schedules of professional staff Assist professional staff as requested in completion of conduct, information, and care cases Monitor disciplinary sanctions, including community service and disciplinary holds Perform regular audits to ensure efficient operations Assist with scheduling and holding student programming, events, and maintaining the Care Corner Maintain accurate and timely information for the office’s SharePoint, university website, social media sites, and Runway; content creation using Canva and Meta Minimum Qualifications High school diploma and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Candidate must possess the ability to act within established guidelines, be self-motivated to work and complete tasks unsupervised, and meet deadlines. Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point) and proficient typing are required. Candidate should exhibit strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and possess an acute attention to detail. Additionally, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills to engage with UTM’s diverse population of students, faculty/staff, and parents in a professional manner while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality in a FERPA compliant environment. Preferred Qualifications Two years of administrative support experience working at an institution of higher education is preferred. Preferred candidate will have experience using Maxient case management software, BANNER, and DASH (Oracle), and possess a demonstrated proficiency in Canva, Meta, and the Microsoft Office Suite to include Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
