Respite Provider 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Orange County, VT Overview The Clara Martin Center is seeking respite workers in the Bradford, VT and Randolph, VT areas to provide support & supervision for children who have emotional challenges. This person would provide therapeutic support and other individualized services for children and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in their care, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. This role involves providing temporary relief to primary caregivers, allowing them time to rest while ensuring that the needs of the individual are met. Responsibilities Monitor patient health and report any changes in condition, including vital signs and general well-being. Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Ensure the living environment is clean, safe, and conducive to health and well-being. Support social engagement through activities that promote interaction and enjoyment. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with family members and other caregivers to ensure continuity of care. Qualifications Knowledge of first aid practices and home health care procedures is beneficial. Ability to monitor patients effectively, including taking vital signs if necessary. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and other professionals. Physical capability to lift individuals as needed and perform tasks that require mobility. A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized environment for those in your care.
