Medical Lab Tech 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 1613 North McKenzie Street, Foley, AL 36535 Overview Performs manual and automated routine blood tests. Prepares specimens for microscope examination. Operates laboratory equipment including centrifuges, dry bath incubators, and blood bank refrigerators. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to supervisor or manager. Education Requires graduation from an accredited MLT program and passing a national exam given by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology Duties Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Assist in the development and implementation of laboratory management procedures. Conduct quality control checks on all laboratory processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Skills Experience in a research laboratory environment is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
