Role:

The Medical Lab Technician (MLT) plays a crucial role in the healthcare system by performing laboratory tests that aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. This position requires a keen attention to detail and a strong understanding of laboratory procedures to ensure accurate and timely results. The MLT will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide essential data that informs patient care decisions. Minimum Qualifications:

Certification in good standing as a Medical Laboratory Technician MLT(ASCP) with the American Society for Clinical Pathology (preferred) or equivalent required. Recent graduates with an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology may be considered. Must obtain certification within one (1) year of employment

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience in a clinical laboratory setting. Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field. Experience with advanced laboratory techniques and instrumentation. Familiarity with electronic laboratory information systems (LIS).

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests on various biological specimens. Analyze test results and report findings to physicians and healthcare providers. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance. Adhere to safety protocols and quality control measures to maintain laboratory standards. Assist in the training and supervision of junior lab staff and interns.
