Role:

As a Medical Lab Technologist at UAB Medical West, you will play a crucial role in the accurate and timely diagnosis of patients. Your main responsibility will be to perform complex laboratory tests on patient samples, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids. By analyzing and interpreting the results, you will help healthcare professionals make informed decisions regarding patient care. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results. Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university. 1 year of experience as a Registered Medical Technologist. Registered as a Medical Lab Technician by the Board of Registry of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent Experience working in a clinical laboratory setting. Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and equipment. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with laboratory information systems and electronic medical records. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

Performing a variety of laboratory tests on patient samples, such as blood, urine, and other bodily fluids. Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, including analyzers, microscopes, and centrifuges.
