Laboratory Technician – Diagnostic Services 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars Heber Springs, AR 72543 Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting a busy family practice clinic, performing various laboratory tests and procedures. This position requires proficiency in laboratory techniques and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety. Duties Specimen Collection. Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests, including CBC, A1C, Strep, UA (micro), COVID, INR and more (moderate complexity). Prepare specimens for analysis and ensure proper handling according to established protocols. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and functioning correctly. Record and analyze test results, maintaining accurate documentation within the laboratory information management systems. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss test results and assist in patient diagnosis. Adhere to safety regulations and quality control measures to ensure compliance with hospital standards. Keeping laboratory CLIA compliant. Requirements Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field; certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician is preferred but not necessary. Proficiency in laboratory techniques relevant to clinical and research settings. Experience working in a clinical laboratory environment is highly desirable. Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS) for data entry and analysis. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in laboratory settings.
