Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lab, inventory, andequipment maintenance
- Supports in 6S and lean initiatives in thelaboratories
- Supports work related to process improvements in thelab
- Prepares worksheets for data collection, performs data entryand analyzes test data.
- Interfaces with all functionaldepartments by coordination manufacturing trial runs, sterilizationand aging studies and also by assisting Engineer in project work
- performs test protocols and records appropriate information
- Builds custom prototype samples for development purposes
- Managessample inventory from start to end of projects, real andaccelerated aging, and general inventory
- Analyzes data on timelybasis
- Plans and conducts projects on a limited scope or portionsof a larger projects
- Engage others, promote, and participate inEnvironmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, focusing oncontinuous improvement
- Work on special projects as assigned byLab Supervisor/Manager Knowledge & Skills
- Familiar with basicmechanical and related to medical devices and practice is required
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawingsand documentation is preferred, but not required.
- Familiaritywith Minitab or basic statistics terms
- Basic of QSSOPs,GMP/FDA/ISO 9001, etc., principles and ability to integrate intosoftware engineering discipline.
- some knowledge of lean and SixSigma Methods Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Mustbe at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma required alongwith either 1 year work experience as an engineering technician ina related position within a manufacturing or testing organization,or an associate’s degree in a related Technical or engineeringfield Work Environment
- This is largely a sedentary role.
- Thisjob operates in a professional lab and office environment androutinely uses standard office equipment
- Work can be performed ina clean room environment
- While performing the duties of this job,the employee may be required to sit or stand for long periods oftime; depending on the machine they are operating
- Operator isrequired to use computer or touch screen to enter work order data
- Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects of up to 25pounds

Our engineering technicians’ team is anintegral part of our R D organization supporting new productdevelopment and post-launch product evolution. Responsibilitiesinclude performing research, building prototypes, validating testmethods, inspecting products, conducting tests, analyzing data,ensuring sites are safe and clean, and reporting to the Labsupervisor/Manager. This is an entry level position where theindividual works on projects/matters of limited complexity in asupport role. Key skills include an ability to troubleshootequipment/testing, communicate effectively, and as well asdemonstrating a basic understanding of engineering terminology andbeing able to work well in a team.
