This role is essential in supporting timely and accurate diagnostic services in a high-quality, child-centered care environment. We’re looking for someone who is interested in providing excellent patient and family-centered care, to patients from infancy through young adulthood. The candidate needs to be a team player and have a strong work ethic. This full-time position requires working 30 to 37.5 hours per week (day shifts, evenings 5-8pm, possible weekends and holidays as needed – shift differentials are offered for working evenings, weekends, and holidays). Strong attention to detail , analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills . Effective interpersonal communication for collaboration with healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Perform finger stick blood collections for pediatric patients in a clinical office setting. Carry out routine laboratory tests including: Hematology Immunology Urinalysis Administer and interpret rapid infectious disease tests (Influenza, Strep, COVID-19). Accurately document test results and promptly communicate findings to clinicians. Conduct routine equipment quality control , participate in proficiency testing , and contribute to lab quality assurance . Operate and maintain automated laboratory instruments: Complete Blood Count (CBC) analyzers Microscopes Other diagnostic tools Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards .
