Shift:

The hours are as follows: Mon

• 7am•5pm; Tues•7a•4p;Wed•7a•2:30p; Thur•7a•5p; Fri•7a•12:30pm Labs rotatecoming in at 6am and some overtime should be expected.

There isalso rotated weekend work once technicians are trained. It’stypically 6 or 7a until 10am on Saturday and 6a or 7a until 11 onSunday. The technicians working the weekend get the prior Wednesdayoff.

Details:

Assistsin all areas of the production of Marek’s disease vaccine. Thesemay include, but are not limited to: Performing all processes byStandard Operating Procedures. Utilizes sterile technique at alltimes. Active knowledge of working under laminar flow hoods andHEPA filtered environment. Communicate any occurrence to the teamleader and/or supervisor immediately. Responsible for keeping thelab area clean and sterile at all times. Individual monthlyresponsibilities are assigned in each lab. Individuals must ensurethese activities are completed accurately and promptly. Assists inreceiving roller bottles in labs and receiving roller bottles inthe holding area. Assists with the candling and racking of eggs inIncubation department Maintains accurate and timely manufacturingrecords. Actively promotes safety and awareness in the lab, alwaysacting in occurrence with safety practices.

Skills:

Training beginsimmediately. Individuals must be fully trained promptly on steriletechnique and general lab procedures. Must be a team player. Mustbe able to lift 50 lbs and carry it 10 ft. Must be able to stand onfeet for long periods and work in a sterile environment. Must beflexible with availability. This position requires weekend work.

Regular attendance is a must. Self-motivated. Ability to thinkahead to the next task. Can work well under time restraints.
