Job Description
Quality Control Clerk Peterson Brands 9910 Bavaria Road, Fort Myers, FL 33913 The Quality Control Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the Quality Control (QC) Manager by performing a range of administrative and hands-on duties. This position is split approximately 50/50 between managing the Sample Department and assisting the QC Manager with quality-related tasks. The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish (written and verbal), detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a team-based environment.
- Key Responsibilities Sample Department Management (Approx. 50%)
- Manage all operations related to the Sample Department.
- Ensure proper packaging and rotation of outgoing product samples.
- Log and track sample requests, ensuring timely preparation and delivery.
- Monitor sample volume and alert the team when additional resources are needed to meet demand.
- Package and ship samples daily in accordance with quality standards.
- Maintain sufficient inventory of lab and sample-related supplies; reorder as needed. Quality Control Support (Approx. 50%)
- Support the QC Manager in executing daily quality control initiatives and assigned tasks.
- Assist in developing and writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) both English and Spanish.
- Perform general clerical tasks including filing, document preparation, and supply ordering.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other PC applications to support QC documentation and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred Work Experience
- One year working in a role with similar responsibilities. Skills and Knowledge
- Bilingual
- English/Spanish (written and verbal) is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in a quality, lab, or manufacturing support role preferred.
- Knowledge of GMPs, Food Safety, and standard operating procedures preferred.
- Ability to follow written instructions, document work clearly, and comply with quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift/move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Comfortable using PCs, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Supervisory Responsibilities
