Key Accountabilities/Competencies :

Collect biopsy specimens from the multiple nurses’ station within the practice. Confirm specimen identification, sort the specimens, and provide accurate computer-based data entry. Accurately label specimen cassettes with accession numbers. Work as part of a dynamic team, feeding work to the grossing technician. Keep the accessioning area stocked, clean and free of safety hazards. Assist in other functions as needed, collating, filling,ect. Communicate with other lab personnel, the Dermatopathologist, and Dermatology staff to resolve any problems, maintaining harmonious relations with all laboratory staff. Provide timely distribution of final pathology reports to the Dermatology staff throughout the day.

Requirements:

Candidate must have at least a high school diploma or GED, and strong computer skills required. Familiarity with Intellipath a plus. Candidate must be energetic, dependable, detail-orientated, conscientious individual who works well with others. Hours 9:00am-7:00pm Mon-Thur and 9:00am-2:00pm
