We are currently seeking a Lab Assistant/MLT/Specimen Processorfor one of our Orlando locations to prepare laboratory specimens(blood, urine, stool and others) for designateddepartments/locations prior to laboratory analysis and testing.
Receives, prepares including staging of specimens, centrifuge,separate serum, blood smears and aliquots (pours) specimen samplesand delivers specimens for testing to designated laboratorydepartments. Prepares excess specimen samples for storage andresolves and document problem specimens. Prolonged standing may berequired. Performs quality control functions, maintains laboratoryinstrumentation and performs QA duties. Data entryexperience/assessment required. High School diploma or equivalentis also required, Associates degree preferred.
MUST HAVE A MINIMUMOF ONE YEAR EXPERIENCE IN SPECIMEN PROCESSING.
Work hours: 8AM-5PMMonday-Friday. Must have a clear criminal history and drug screenand have great references. Pay rate up to $16.00/hr or higherdepending on background.
