Position Summary:

The Laboratory Technician plays a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient clinical operations by performing laboratory tests, assisting with specimen collection, and supporting pediatric patients during procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform various lab tests on pediatric patients with care and precision. Conduct in-office laboratory tests, including: Urine dips Complete Blood Count (CBC) Bilirubin testing Strep and flu tests Properly label, document, and handle all specimens. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab area. Follow all safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols. Comfort and reassure pediatric patients during procedures. Communicate effectively with clinical staff and parents.

Qualifications:

Certified Lab Tech or Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred but not required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in phlebotomy, preferably with pediatric patients. Previous experience performing in-office lab testing. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, child-friendly environment.
