Job Description
Part Time or Full Time lab tech Excel Pain and Spine 1417 Lakeland Hills Boulevard, Lakeland, FL 33805 We are a new fast growing pain management clinic with multiple locations. We are looking to staff our Lakeland location with a lab tech (part time or full time) for our Urine Lab. You will be trained to perform a variety of lab analyses and tests of urine samples. You will prepare the samples, sets up lab instruments, runs the tests, and upload the results to the electronic medical record.
Lab Tech Responsibilities:
Receiving, labeling and safely storing samples to be tested Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report Recording tests and analyses and then reporting the results Discussing and answering any questions regarding the results Organizing and storing samples in accordance with all safety and other requirements to ensure the safety of personnel and integrity of the sample Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including recalibration of equipment Maintaining equipment records and daily work logs Staying current on technical and scientific advances in their field Lab tech skills and qualifications: Good eye-hand coordination Attention to detail and good organizational skills Good communication and teamwork skills Understanding of electronic and computerized equipment in laboratories Able to follow instructions and strictly follow procedures
Other Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively and professionally with physicians, coworkers, and regulatory agencies. Reply to email messages, google chat messages, and telephone messages in a timely and respectful manner. Work directly with Physician and Medical Assistants Maintain inventory in the lab and order from vendor as necessary Qualifications Must possess a strong work ethic, be a self-starter, and forward thinking. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is imperative. Strong ethical and moral character is imperative. Must be reliable and able to show up to work on time on a daily basis. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office. Basic math and spelling skills. Ability to correctly alphabetize. Experience in working with electronic health records preferably some experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW). Requirements Minimum of High school diploma or GED certificate. Experience with specimen collections either in a medical office or hospital setting. Reliable transportation and punctuality a must!

either 40 hrs/week or part time (hours can be discussed- willing to allow for weekend coverage) Typical end time: 430PM Typical start time: 8
