HPLC Lab Technician Outpost Brands Daytona Beach, FL 32117
Job Summary:
The HPLC Lab Technician is responsible for all day-to-day laboratory processing. This includes intaking raw materials, operating the extraction equipment, tracking batch records, clean up and maintenance of equipment and facilities and conducting general extraction & processing duties.
Essential Duties:
Organize and manage data, extraction parameters, testing results and processes relating to lab activities. Perform post processing steps within the Hydrocarbon and Solventless Laboratories. Perform Hydrocarbon Extractions Perform Solventless Extractions Maintain inventory of all supplies, materials, equipment, finished products, by-product and spare parts. Storing supplies and equipment, disposal of waste according to guidelines, and keeping laboratory, storerooms and working areas immaculate. Provide forecasting insight and analysis while collecting cannabinoid data. Execute schedule batch and confirm batch records. Maintaining a continuous focus on safety, injury prevention in all aspects of production work. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) using GMP processes and guidelines. Maintain proper documentation of all testing according to established procedures. Maintain process equipment and ensure such machinery operates in a clean organized environment. Maintain accurate tracking records of seed to sale system. Managing and training extraction technician teams efficiently and respectfully. Record and report data according to company standards. Work closely with other departments to ensure that all testing is performed according to company standards. Participate in regular training sessions with supervisors and managers. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Experience:
Experience in food, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical testing is preferred but not required. Must be able to work independently with little supervision or be part of a team. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team depending on the needs of the department. Must be legally authorized to work in the US. Must be able to read, write, and converse in the English language. Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen. Speed and precision with equipment along with strong mechanical inclination. Ability to easily use computers, and Microsoft office programs including MS Outlook Ability to multi-task and maintain work consistency on a daily basis. Strong organizational skills, effective time-management and high attention to detail Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Compliance with and understanding of current Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and Good Documentation Processes (GDP) guidelines. General knowledge of weights and measurement. Strong math and computer skills, including ability to create and interpret data. Knowledge of proper and safe handling and disposal of harmful chemicals, substances, and hazardous wastes. Education and Experience AS in Chemistry/Biology or related fields BS preferred Experience operating laboratory instruments (distillation/filtration) and performing basic instrument maintenance.
