Role:

Helix Lab Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Lab Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with a variety of laboratory tasks, including data entry, specimen processing, and maintaining lab operations in compliance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Read, understand, and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Assist in various laboratory procedures as needed.
• Promptly report any issues or deviations from SOPs to the supervisor.
• Accurately enter patient data, including demographics, insurance, and medical history.
• Receive, log, and accession specimens.
• Create and manage client profiles.
• Participate in required training (HIPAA, OSHA, SOPs).
• Perform inventory duties and manage lab supplies.
• Store lab consumables appropriately according to product labels.
• Maintain written records of lab activities as needed.
• Clean and maintain laboratory work areas and instrumentation.
• Review patient requisition forms and reports for completeness and accuracy.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and secure data handling.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (BS) or higher in Medical Technology, Biology, or a related field.
• Strong computer literacy; experience with laboratory information systems is preferred.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Sound analytical judgment and organizational skills.

Compensation:

• Commensurate with experience.
