Job Description
Lab Research Technician, Cell & Molecular Biology The Laboratory Research Technician will provide general support to ongoing research in the Tasker laboratory, including animal husbandry and genotyping/phenotyping, ordering, purchasing, lab upkeep, oversight of undergraduate students, etc.
- Strong organizational and management skills
- Standard laboratory techniques and molecular cloning techniques
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and PowerPoint software
- Bachelor’s Degree and one to two years of directly related experience.
College level coursework in cell, molecular, and/or neuro biology
Experience with animal dissection and histological preparations
Experience with mouse breeding and genotyping
Experience with immunohistochemistry and Western blotting
Experience with confocal microscopy
Experience with PCR and qPCR
Experience with molecular biology
