Urgent Hiring for “Lab Technician ”  New Orleans, Louisiana, 70122,

United States Job Description:

Retrieve samples from Sample Control for analysis. Perform sample preparation including but not limited to: aliquot samples, spike and trace samples, prepare reagents, bottle samples, prepare concentrations, separation, sonication, and liquid rack set up Resolve discrepancies and anomalies to ensure samples are properly labeled Prepare general lab paperwork such as recording analysis results, tracking samples, bench sheets, and lab logbooks. Wash lab glassware to prepare for the next day’s samples, stock lab supplies

Top Skills- Preferred:

College degree in field of science OR Candidate with 1-2 years in the lab environment

Work Environment Work Hours:

6:00 AM-2:30 PM or 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (Depends on the needs of the department) with 30 minute lunch break Overtime required to finish work but they try to avoid overtime as much as possible Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
