Laboratory Worker Position Available In Middlesex, Massachusetts

Job Description:

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search tofill a Laboratory job in Woburn, MA. This is a temporaryopportunity. As a Laboratory Worker you will be responsible forproducing materials and enzymes that feed the manufacture ofhepatocyte-related products. Working with animal and human tissue.

Manufacturing enzyme based products.

• Prepares buffers, solutions, and medias for production.
• Prepares and tests a variety of tissue fractions (human andanimal).
• Performs Protein Assay and P450 spectral analysis.
• Performs cell culture operations infecting cells with recombinantvirus for protein production, harvesting, and preparation accordingto SOP¿s.
• Assists in the isolation, culture, and cryopreservation of humanand animal primary cells and hepatocytes.
• Participates in other plant activities including Kaizens and 5Sblitzes.

Working Conditions:

Good working conditions. Works in a biosafety level 1 & 2 (BL1/BL2)laboratory environment involving exposure to human and animaltissue and cells. Wears proper PPE when required. Occasionallylifts and/or moves lab equipment of 25 to 40 pounds.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience:

1 -3 years working knowledge of laboratory equipment and processes(centrifuges, spectrophotometer, microscope, etc.) required.

Knowledge and advanced working experience of computers and MSOffice products. This position will run from January to March of 2015 and pay $17.00per hour.
