This is an Evening shift position.
Summary:
The Grossing Technician role is responsible for performing work including macroscopic gross description, dissection and processing of designated surgical specimens.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 1.
Education:
Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a biological, chemical, physical science, or medical laboratory field of study required. 2.
License/Certifications:
Certification as a Pathologist Assistant, Histotechnician or Histotechnologist by recognized professional organization preferred. Valid Driver’s license required. 3.
Experience:
Experience completing surgical gross examinations preferred. 4.
Additional Skills/Requirements Required:
May be asked to work at other sites/locations as needed. 5.
