The Polysomnographic Specialist performsall aspects of care as outlined in national and departmentalclinical standard of practice policy and procedure manual and inaccordance with written verbal orders or approved protocol flowcharts. This position will assist with MSLT and home sleep studyset-ups. Clinical practice activities include but are not limitedto the performance of diagnostic polysomnographic testing,assessment based therapeutic interventions and the analysis andscoring of polysomnographic records. The PolysomnographicSpecialist accountabilities include the assessment and evaluationof histories and physicals, diagnostic, clinical and sleep relateddata pursuant to the development and monitoring of plannedinterventions in collaboration with the medical staff. ThePolysomnographic Specialist supports and participates asappropriate in staff meetings, study quality, adherence todepartmental protocols, continuing education, and professionalgrowth development activities and performs other duties asassigned.
