QC Laboratory Technician Position Available In St. Louis, Missouri

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Under direction, obtains samples, performsroutine lab analyses, and reviews documentation according tostandard written procedures or specific verbal instructions.

Recognizes problem areas withsamples, procedures, results, recordsor equipment, attempts to identify appropriate corrective actionand notifies supervisor of problem and potential correctve actions.

All in accordance with the requirements for

ISO, FDA

QSR, andcompany policies.

DUTIES Responsible for the following:

Determinewhich raw materials and components require sampling through ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) system, obtain samples in a safe andtimely manner in compliance with written procedures. Obtain watersamples as defined in written procedures. Perform routine productand raw material testing of samples. Document results onappropriate paperwork and notify Supervisor of non-conformingresults. In accordance with raw material and finished productspecification, perform transactions in the ERP (Enterprise ResourcePlanning) system as necessary to identify the status of materials(routine release actions, quarantine, or QC Hold at the directionof Supervisor/Manager) Perform any other duties as assigned bySupervisor. Duties will be assigned to Laboratory Technicians basedon training and abilities of that technician. Assist in laboratorymaintenance, including instrument calibration, preparation ofstandards used in testing, and proper disposal of expired and/orunused materials.
