This position entails performance and management of technical tasks in a research laboratory. Duties may include processing of oceanographic sample material, sample collection in the field, data analysis, and assisting graduate students in general laboratory duties/experiments. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Performs field sample processing for research purposes.
Communicates research findings by compiling, analyzing, and interpreting scientific data.
Assist graduate students in biological analyses or experimentation as needed.

Participates in preparation for and/or sample collection for oceanographic fieldwork.
Assists in laboratory financial work such as compiling receipts and assessing budgets.
Performs other assigned duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marine science or geoscience from an accredited college or university and at least 1 year of work experience in a laboratory setting. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)
Ability to be flexible.
A logical and independent mind.
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
Patience and determination.
Teamwork and Interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals.
