Job Description:
Perform a variety of routine and/or complex tests on clinical specimens. Independent judgement and a high degree of professionalism is required to provide the physician with test data to be use for diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of disease. Perform specimen collection for blood samples, and prepare samples for reference laboratory testing. Tasks include daily maintenance, quality control testing, and other quality assurance processes in clinical laboratory to include areas of Hematology, Chemistry, Immuno-assay, and Special Protein testing. MLT – Minimum requirements include an Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, and ASCP certification (or equal), or qualifies to take the ASCP certification exam. Previous experience desired, but not required.
