This job receivesand prepares specimens according to standard protocols andprocedures; performs analytical laboratory tests and calculationsaccording to section requirements and protocols; performs qualitycontrol procedures required for test performance; calibrates,maintains and monitors laboratory equipment; works under generalsupervision; position minimally requires telephone access to aMedical Technologist when troubleshooting problems; performsphlebotomy procedures as appropriate; and maintains confidentialityof patient related information.   • Associates Degree in medical technology, medical laboratoryscience, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical orbiological science.
  • OR•military MLT certificate.

  • Current license in the state of practice (if applicable).Required
  • ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification as Medical LabTechnician. Any incumbents certified by ASCP on or after January 1,2004 must successfully complete the requirements of the ASCP’sCertification Maintenance Program. Knowledge Skills and Abilities(KSAs)
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for dataentry and retrieval of information.
  • Effective verbal and writtencommunication skills and the ability to present information clearlyand professionally.
  • Must be proficient with Windows-styleapplications, various software packages specific to role andkeyboard.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Job Duties
