Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Lab Technician performs laboratory procedures under the supervision of and as ordered by the physician.
The Lab Technologist is also cross-trained in the running of EKGs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Formal training, likely indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent; certification from an approved phlebotomy training program; experience working with the public; the ability to maintain composure in fast-paced and stressful situations; a pleasant attitude; neat appearance; excellent communication skills, including telephone communication; and previous experience in a laboratory at a multi-specialty clinic.
