18.00 We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join our client’s high-volume production-based clinical laboratory team.

Location:

 Durham, NC
Pay rate: $18.00/ hr.
Job type: 6 month•contract,

Shift:

 Friday & Saturday 7pm•3:30am OR Sunday & Monday 7pm•3:30am

Responsibilities:

Receive, sort, and prepare clinical lab specimens for testing and analysis
Scan and enter specimens and patient information into the lab’s database with a high degree of accuracy
Ensure lab equipment is functioning properly and performs minor troubleshooting and maintenance as needed
Address specimen-related issues and communicate effectively with team members to resolve them promptly
Replenish test bench supplies and ensure an adequate inventory for uninterrupted workflow
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following established safety protocols and ensuring proper disposal of biological specimens

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a medical or lab environment is preferred
Comfortable handling biological specimens with care and attention to detail
Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced setting.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must pass a standardized color blindness test.
