May 29, 2025 Apply on website Accentuate Staffing is assisting a company in the construction industry who is looking for a Lab Technician. This is a contract position for the next two months working 1st shift Monday-Friday and is a great foot in the door with the company.
Responsibilities:
Maintain daily operations of laboratory spaces, including removal of various waste types (biohazardous, chemical, recycling), washing lab parts, autoclaving, restocking supplies, and performing routine equipment maintenance.
Manage upkeep of the warehouse, including inventory control tasks such as logging inventory additions and consumptions, conducting cycle counts, and handling incoming and outgoing shipments.
Break down shipping materials, manage warehouse cleanliness, and coordinate proper waste disposal.
Coordinate with vendors for laboratory equipment services such as preventative maintenance, calibrations, and repairs.
Support laboratory staff with in-lab operational needs, ensuring a smooth and efficient research environment.
Requirements:
Previous experience in lab operations whether in school, or a related role in a scientific environment
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Ability to lift and move boxes and equipment as part of daily duties.
Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and handling of biohazardous/chemical waste is preferred.
