Enters lab results into system in a timely manner and tracks all outstanding labs to ensure that results are received in a timely manner.
Orders and maintains adequate stock of supplies.
Maintains in-office lab following
CLIA/COLA
guidelines.
Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner. Cleans and maintains all lab machines weekly and ensures proper calibration.
Lead Lab Assistant also:
Serves in a supervisory role.
Serves in Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
Prepares for and maintains regulatory requirements for inspections. Minimum Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Minimum Work Experience
Experience in physician office lab or hospital lab preferred. Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Skills
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
