Nesco Resource in Hickory is hiring for an experienced LabTechnician for the Lincolnton area!

Shift:

3rd, Rotating (2,2,3),7pm-7am The Lab Technician will provide assistance to the LabSupervisor with the day-to-day lab operations, testing all samplesfrom each production lines and providing a quality product to ourcustomers.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Apply skillsrequired to test production samples for all production lines usingestablished testing procedures for tensile strength, elongation,compression, weight, thickness, oil and water repellency, burnrate, shrinkage, blocking, adhesive bonding and incoming chemicaltesting. Test all production samples and request retest samplesimmediately and provide the test results to the Operator/Supervisor. Assure that all tests meet productspecifications/requirements by Informing the machineoperators/Supervisors of test results and any production failures.

Document and enter all testing data results and retest in Canias ina timely manner. Document all test results in Canias, MS Excel, andMS Word. Make decisions when the product meets or does not meetspecifications with little or no supervision. Block allnonconforming material in Canias (1099) that does not meetspecifications and Temporary holds from inspection Supportproduction with quality decisions as needed. Support R D withtesting for trials and communicate the test results in a timelymanner. Prepare, verify and email test results for “Certificate ofAnalysis ” to customers. Observe, report, and correct (whenappropriate) all unsafe conditions that may result in potentialaccidents. Complete Quality surveillance daily on all lines.

Complete the daily housekeeping checklist. Store and identify alltesting retains. Responsible for covering vacations as needed.

Flexible availability/workinghours Ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing environmentPositive communication skills, including the use oftelephone/email. Above average math and reading skills. Ability toperform tasks with little or no supervision. Above average computerskills include the use of Windows based programs. High schooldiploma/GED equivalent. Ability to meet production standards as setby the company. Follow all PPE/Safety requirements according toTenowo policies. The ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40pounds. The ability to stand, bend, or stoop as needed to performall Lab duties. The ability to walk/stand the duration of eachassigned shift.
