Water Lab Analyst Lead Position Available In Mecklenburg, North Carolina

Water Lab Analyst Lead Meridian Laboratory Corp. 2401 Whitehall Park Drive, Charlotte, NC 28273 Meridian Laboratory is looking for an experienced chemical and microbiological Lead in water lab located in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will perform a variety of routine instrument analysis on ICP-MS, IC and microbiological methods including endotoxin testing and heterotrophic plate counts. Performs a wide range of sample preparation and/or analysis per published EPA and SM methods.

Hours:

M-F Responsibilities:

• Personnel Management
• Experience with both SM and EPA methodology. Experience running an ICP-MS
• Preparing and/or analyzing test samples based on published and proprietary methods and procedures. Able to work with team.
• Following established quality control protocol, including calibration evaluation
• Project management from set-up to completion
• Preparing standards and reagents as needed
• Documenting all lab activities in applicable logbooks and LIMS system
• Performing routine maintenance of equipment and instrumentation, including troubleshooting of multiple test systems
• Keeping and maintaining a safe and clean work space
• Disposing of samples in a responsible manner that meets all local, state and federal requirements
• Ability to validate data from several methods and instruments
• Attending required company and departmental meetings
• Leading method development and modifications as needed
• Assisting with training of other analysts
• Assisting with review and preparation of SOPs and training documents
• Participating in blind sample proficiency testing
• Communicate technical information and original work to customers and other interested parties
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

BA/BS in chemistry or related science plus 3 or more years related experience

$52,671.07 – $63,431.83 per year
