Job Description Greenville Pathology, P.A - 2515 Bowman Gray Drive, Greenville, NC
- is currently seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant.
Greenville Pathology, P.A. is seeking a dedicated and self-motivated individual to join their surgical pathology team in Greenville, NC. The Laboratory Assistant will be responsible for specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the workflow.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Unpack, check, and route specimens to their respective areas
Data entry of patient information into the computer system
Handle and dispose of medical and chemical waste
Pack and ship specimens to proper third party testing facilities
Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
Resolve and document any problem specimens
Comply with applicable OSHA and laboratory safety regulations
Safely operate company vehicle and obey all traffic laws
Pickup, transport and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies and reports (local route)
Schedule:
Monday
- Friday, 2:00 PM
- 7:00 PM Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.
)
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must have a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
Proficient computer and typing skills
Detail oriented
Comfortable handling human biological specimens including blood, urine and tissue samples
Ability to lift up to 30lbs, work in protective equipment and sit/stand for long periods of time
Ability to work overtime when needed Ideal candidate can work five (5) days per week. As a minimum, candidate must be able to work three (3) days per week.
