Accentuate Staffing is assisting a company in the constructionindustry who is looking for a Lab Technician. This is a contractposition for the next two months working 1st shift Monday-Fridayand is a great foot in the door with the company. Responsibilities:
Maintain daily operations of laboratory spaces, including removalof various waste types (biohazardous, chemical, recycling), washinglab parts, autoclaving, restocking supplies, and performing routineequipment maintenance. Manage upkeep of the warehouse, including inventory control taskssuch as logging inventory additions and consumptions, conductingcycle counts, and handling incoming and outgoing shipments. Break down shipping materials, manage warehouse cleanliness, andcoordinate proper waste disposal. Coordinate with vendors for laboratory equipment services such aspreventative maintenance, calibrations, and repairs. Support laboratory staff with in-lab operational needs, ensuring asmooth and efficient research environment.
Requirements:
Previous experience in lab operations whether in school, or arelated role in a scientific environment Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and theability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written andverbal). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, andExcel. Ability to lift and move boxes and equipment as part of dailyduties. Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and handling ofbiohazardous/chemical waste is preferred.
