Collector-Part time Newark 2.8 2.8 out of 5 stars East Newark, NJ 07029 As a Specimen Processor, you will be a critical part of the drug testing required by our client. You will be responsible for efficiently and safely obtain urine, COVID, and blood samples from patients for the purpose of laboratory testing. In this role you will be required to conduct observed and/or supervised specimen collections. Observed Collections are those requiring observation of patient providing sample either by direct vision, through a mirror, or through a camera. Supervised collects are those requiring supervision of patient providing the sample by being in the same vicinity as the patient.

SCHEDULE

: Mon and Thurs-10AM to 2PM and 6pm-9pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

URINE :

• Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of urine specimens Collect urine specimens as per company guidelines. Follow departmental policies to correctly identify the patient before any specimen is obtained Properly label and document the specimens and prepare for shipment Demonstrate customer service and compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff Communicate with, understand, and react effectively to a diverse patient population base Follow Universal Precautions and all OSHA standards when handling specimens Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines Maintain neat, clean, orderly patient/work areas at all times Order processing & office supplies as needed
