Molecular Laboratory Technician I/II Epi One, Inc. Brooklyn, NY 11226 Overview We are a growing biotech company seeking detail-oriented and motivated Technicians (I & II) with foundational skills in molecular biology. This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about precision, quality, and teamwork in a laboratory environment. Successful candidates will have experience with basic lab techniques and a commitment to maintaining high standards in scientific work.

Key Responsibilities Sample Prep & Extraction:

Exact high-quality DNA/RNA from biological samples following SOPs.

Quantification of Nucleic Acids Preparation of Buffers and Reagents Micro-pipetting and Aseptic Techniques Sample Handling and Storage PCR/qPCR Execution:

Prepare and run real-time PCR assays. Ensure data integrity and reproducibility.

Gel Electrophoresis Data Analysis & Reporting:

Maintain accurate lab records and data logs.

Lab Support:

Maintain lab equipment, restock supplies, and follow GLP and safety protocols. Troubleshooting & Optimization (Tech II): Identify workflow issues, troubleshoot protocols, and support validation.

Team Collaboration:

Coordinate daily schedules and communicate progress with lab members and supervisors.

Qualifications Technician I:

Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotech, or related field. Entry-level role for recent graduates or candidates with at least 2 year of lab experience. Familiar with pipetting, nucleic acid handling, and PCR basics.

Technician II:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field. 5+ years of hands-on lab experience with PCR/qPCR in a research or diagnostic setting. Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to work independently and mentor junior staff. Experience with data analysis software of qPCR machines preferred.
