Adecco Healthcare & Life Science is currently looking to hire a detail-oriented and reliable Laboratory Clerk to join our client in Lake Success, NY. In this role, you will play a critical part in the laboratory testing process by ensuring that patient specimens are properly received, labeled, entered, and routed for testing. Ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.

Location:

2800 Marcus Ave, Suite 103, Lake Success, NY 11042

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM (Some weekends required)
Pay –
21.71/HR

Key Responsibilities:

Receive and accession specimens based on manual or electronic requisitions.
Verify patient identification by checking that specimen labels match requisition forms exactly.
Enter patient demographics and test orders into the lab information system (LIS) with a high degree of accuracy.
Disinfect your work area regularly in accordance with lab safety protocols.
Sort and route specimens to the appropriate laboratory departments for further testing.
Ensure all samples are properly labeled, stored, and transported to preserve integrity.
Follow established procedures and escalate any discrepancies to supervisors immediately.

Qualifications:

Ability to work the scheduled hours reliably, including some weekends.
Comfortable wearing scrubs and working in a lab/clinical setting.
Strong attention to detail and data entry skills.
Ability to follow strict procedures and handle biological specimens.
Experience in a clinical lab, hospital, or similar healthcare environment.
Familiarity with lab information systems (LIS).
Typing speed of 50 WPM or higher.
Stronganizational and time-management skills.

Pay Details:

$15.78 per hour
