Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to perform diagnostic testing procedures in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely specimen analysis while maintaining the highest standards of safety, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform clinical laboratory tests on patient specimens in accordance with standard operating procedures and quality control protocols Process, prepare, and document specimens for in-house and reference lab testing Operate and maintain laboratory instruments; conduct minor troubleshooting and record maintenance logs Accurately enter patient data, test orders, and quality results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) Interpret and validate test results to support timely diagnosis and treatment Ensure compliance with infection control, biohazard safety, and PPE usage standards Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and institutional policies Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced lab setting
Qualifications:
New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (or eligibility/permit)
- Required Minimum of 2 years of clinical laboratory experience
- Preferred Must be able to accurately distinguish colors (critical for specific testing) Proficiency with laboratory information systems and computer data entry Must pass pre-employment health screening

Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to follow complex procedures and comply with regulatory guidelines Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed
