Job Description

Medical Laboratory Technican 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Charleston, SC 29425 Medical Laboratory Technician needed for Pediatrics practice. Will work as a float in various location with your main office being in Moncks Corner. We are looking for someone with flexibility and ability to rotate as needed.

Job Summary:

The Medical Laboratory Technician performs high-quality laboratory testing and related quality assurance duties in a timely and cost-effective manner. This position supports pediatric care and is aligned with the requirements of the clinic. The technician is expected to practice universal precautions and adhere to all applicable safety and regulatory standards. Flexibility is required to cover multiple locations and rotate between sites as needed.

Responsibilities:

Perform laboratory assays as ordered by a physician, following OSHA, CLIA, and Physicians regulations Conduct accurate calibration, quality control, cleaning, and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment, as specified by CLIA, the lab, and equipment manufacturers Maintain documentation of all lab results and any remedial actions taken Assist with the accessioning process and communicate results as appropriate Monitor and maintain medical supply inventory in alignment with established cost-effective practices Attend required in-service training, meetings, and continuing education sessions; participate in committees when requested

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician by the ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) or equivalent is preferred
