Additional Job Description:
A bachelor’s degree in a health science; or an associate’s degree with one or more neurodiagnostic registries (R.
EEG, R. EP, R. NCS
); or completion of a Electroneurodiagnostic (END) program that is CAAHEP accredited and one or more neurodiagnostic registries (R.
EEG, R. EP, R. NCS
) required. Must have a Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) and a minimum of 3 years experience in Intraoperative monitoring and perform multi-modality complex Intraoperative monitoring for advanced IONM procedures including Cortical mapping, phase reversal, dorsal rhyzotomies and DBS. Must take call. May require working irregular hours under stressful conditions, rotating shifts, and weekends. Employee must possess considerable knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy; ability to understand and implement a variety of detailed instructions in the execution of complex therapeutic procedures; and ability to make accurate physical observations of patients. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
