Fox Road, Knoxville, TN 37922 Job Summary The Laboratory Gross Assistant will support laboratory gross operations by assisting with various tasks and procedures to ensure smooth functioning of the gross technicians/pathology assistants. Scheduled Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM until 6:30 PM. Duties
- Collect specimens from accessioning staff
- Follow HIPAA and laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Prepares and sets up specimens for gross technicians
- Assist with performing routine equipment maintenance
- Verify specimen and match all pertinent patient information Experience
- Knowledge of basic computer and data entry skills
- Experience working in a laboratory setting is preferred but not necessary, this is an entry level opportunity
