Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing all physical property tests and procedures in a precise and accurate manner.
• Uses good laboratory practices to accurately record and file all raw test data, including pertinent paperwork.
• Communicates results to the Chemists and Lab Manager.
• Responsible for the care and maintenance of specific lab equipment.
• Prepares lab standard test reagents and performs standardizations.
• Work independently at times as well as be a functional part of a team to complete large projects.
• Completes special projects on a timely basis as assigned by Lab Manager.
• Demonstrated knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biology preferred, but not required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in the field of agricultural chemicals preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking, judgment and decision making skills.
• Strong communication skills- verbal and written.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist level.
• Ability to push/pull 100 pounds with or without assistance.
• Ability to stand for long periods running tests from waist to eye level.
• Ability to walk around briskly on concrete floors for 4 – 8 hours.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

This is a safety sensitive position.
