Full Job Description Description:
This role performs laboratory tests to determine physical and chemical characteristics of materials undergoing product development. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for performing all physical property tests and procedures in a precise and accurate manner. Uses good laboratory practices to accurately record and file all raw test data, including pertinent paperwork. Communicates results to the Chemists and Lab Manager. Responsible for the care, maintenance, and set-up of specific lab equipment. Prepares lab standard test reagents and performs standardizations. Completes special projects on a timely basis as assigned by Lab Manager. Demonstrated knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Data and ERP system entry, and quality data set-up. Quality support and special projects to include writing SOPs for new tests. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biology preferred. 1-2 years’ experience in the field of agricultural chemicals preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Work independently at times as well as be a functional part of a team to complete large projects. Strong problem solving, critical thinking, judgment and decision-making skills. Strong communication skills- verbal and written. Demonstrated knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist level. Ability to push/pull 100 pounds with or without assistance. Ability to stand for long periods running tests from waist to eye level. Ability to walk around briskly on concrete floors for 4 – 8 hours. Ability to pass background check and drug screening. This is a safety sensitive position.
