R D Engineer Description:
This position supports research and teaching by preparing equipment, maintaining the lab, assisting with experiments, and gathering data, while following established protocols and safety procedures. Also, supports validation of new products for the flow-control industry (pipe, valves, and fittings). Knowledge of metal working, welding/brazing/soldering, and basic equipment repair is highly beneficial, but not required.
Responsibilities:
: Prepare lab equipment and materials for experiments. Clean and maintain lab equipment, ensuring it’s in good condition. Organize and stock the lab with necessary supplies and material. Assist with the setup and execution of experiments. Build piping assemblies by means of solder, braze, thread, press, etc. Gather and record data from experiments w/accuracy and completeness. : Compile and organize data into graphs, charts, and reports. Help with data analysis and interpretation under supervision. Follow established safety protocols and procedures in the lab. Ensure a clean and organized lab environment. Skills to

Functional knowledge of mechanical parts and construction materials. Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.
