Job Overview:
- The LPN will assist the Supervising Nurse in maintaining compliance with the:
- ADMH Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Provider Operational Guidelines
- Alabama Board of Nursing Administrative Code Rule 610-X-7-.06
- ADMH Nurse Delegation Program
ADMH Division of Developmental Disabilities Incident Prevention and Management System Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of working experience as an LPN
- Unencumbered Licensed Practical Nursing License
- Valid Alabama Driver’s License
- Must become a Medication Assistance Supervising (MAS) Nurse. MAS Nurse certification is not required to apply for position but is required to maintain position.
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to fulfill responsibilities with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to effectively supervise non-licensed medication assistant workers
- Ability to effectively communicate with persons served, subordinate staff, administrative staff, families, outside medical professionals, and any other agency whose services effect the health and safety of persons served
- Efficient time management and organizational skills Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to, medication management, supervising MAC Workers, assisting with MAC training, maintaining health records, assisting with coordination of medical appointment, assisting RN with nursing assessments, monitoring heath status and ensuring timely treatment of acute issues, and sharing on-call in accordance with the Nurse Delegation Program.
