$27 – $36Department Details Primarily Days, 32-40 hours per week. Occasionalweekends and evenings Includes on-call rotation. Additional weekendincentive of $1.25/hour. Additional $1.25/hour shift incentive forany hours worked during the hours of 6pm-6am. Sign on bonusopportunity. Job Summary The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages inassisted living, under the supervision of a registered nurse,advanced practice provider, or physician. Demonstrate knowledge ofnursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinicalsetting. The LPN demonstrates competency and practices within thefull scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriateage and population specific standards related to the physical andpsychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan. The LPN mustpossess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflectiveof the resident’s status and to provide the care needed.

Demonstrates ability to recognize problems, recommend solutions andrespond effectively to assist in an emergent situation. Ensures thehealth, comfort and safety of residents. Contributes to theassessment of residents and administers medications or treatmentsas ordered. Provides technical support to healthcare professionalsas needed. Documents resident interactions as needed and theoutcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity,and dietary. Skilled in establishing and maintaining effectiveworking relationships with resident, health care providers, and thepublic. Ability to work effectively with professional andsupportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team.

Ability to communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality ofsensitive information. Counsels residents, family members and/orresident advocate, under the direction of a registered nurse,advanced practice provider or physician on prevention and treatmentplans. Knowledge of resident education principles to develop aself-care program. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Graduate from an accredited practical nursingprogram as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree inpractical nursing is preferred. If position requires IVtherapy/management skills, the following is required in

NorthDakota:

graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IVtherapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapycourse approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing. One year ofexperience preferred in one of the following settings: long-termcare, subacute care, or medical/surgical. Specificservices/positions may have additional education, training, orexperience requirements. Currently holds an unencumbered LicensedPractical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/orpossess multi-state licensure privileges. Obtains and subsequentlymaintains required certifications and completes required continuingeducation units (CEU) and competency training.
