out of 5 stars 1200 West Montgomery Road, Tuskegee, AL 36088 Position Information Position Title Nurse LPN/RN Status Full Time Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) provides and coordinates patient care and educate patients about various health conditions. The RN will provide care in the form of assessments, treatment documentation and health-counseling. Essential Job Duties Treat minor medical emergencies and make accurate appropriate referrals Participate in the development of criteria to ensure the effectiveness of the patient care provided Perform health care diagnostic tests accurately Administer medications and treatments, as per standing orders of the attending physician Maintain registered nurse licensure and attend necessary continuing education programs to maintain registered nurse license Protect patients, employees and others by adhering to all medical infectious disease control policies, procedures and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures and regulations Document patient care services by charting patient departmental records Contribute to team effort by performing and accomplishing related duties as needed Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training) Current state of Alabama Board of Nursing License Graduate of an accredited nursing school Minimum 1 year experience in a primary health care setting. (Preferably in a university care setting) Current CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred Must be able to work nights and weekends Physical Demands Ability to operate standard office equipment Ability to walk short distances Ability to lift and carry parcels, packages and other items Ability to prepare and analyzing data and figures Ability to view a computer terminal; extensive reading Ability to lift at least 10 pounds
