Correctional LPN – Travel – Spot Offer Vitosha Inc. Harvest, AL 35749 Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including home care, acute care, and medical-surgical environments. Duties Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Perform specimen collection and processing for laboratory tests. Maintain accurate medical documentation for patient records. Assist with IV insertion and management of intravenous therapies. Provide care in home settings, ensuring patients receive appropriate support and education. Collaborate with healthcare teams in emergency room situations to deliver timely interventions. Support patients with behavioral health needs through compassionate care and appropriate interventions. Manage durable medical equipment (DME) needs for patients as required. Participate in coding and documentation processes to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician. Requirements Valid LPN license in the state of practice. Experience in acute care, medical-surgical, or emergency room settings is preferred. Proficiency in specimen collection processing and medical documentation practices. Strong skills in IV insertion and management are highly desirable. Knowledge of behavioral health principles is a plus. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
