Our healthcare partner is committed to elevating patient care standards by offering exceptional service and compassionate support. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Decatur, AL.
Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, dental care, toileting, and mobility. Provide nursing care as directed, including perineal care, catheter care, repositioning, vital signs monitoring, restorative and rehabilitative procedures, and skin assessments. Prepare residents for meals, assist with feeding when needed, and document food and fluid intake. Maintain strict resident confidentiality and treat all residents with dignity and respect. Comply with Resident Rights and promptly report complaints, accidents, and incidents. Implement preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures. Assist with patient admission data collection and contribute to individualized care plans. Accurately carry out physician orders and document all care and observations. Administer medications and monitor patient responses. Perform limited IV therapy for patients receiving peripheral IV fluids under RN supervision. Maintain effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members. Deliver clear and timely change-of-shift reports. Provide health education as delegated and utilize appropriate teaching methods and materials. Participate in staff development programs and meetings as required.
Job Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. Current, active LPN license issued by the State Board of Nursing. Valid and up-to-date BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
