The Avera Behavioral Health Adult C Unit is designed to be astructured, therapeutic environment for adults to learn tounderstand their diagnosis, develop a Crisis Response Plan, usehealthy coping skills and set and complete goals. The Adult C Unit isa 26 bed unit Opportunity to meet 60 coworkers and work in apositive environment. Opportunity to change the lives of yourpatients 1 LPN for 7-8 patient ratio Flexible scheduling program

A Brief Overview The LPN practicesunder the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practiceregistered nurse, licensed physician, or other health careprovider. The LPN organizes and directs those aspects of care forwhich he/she is accountable; communicating and coordinating carewith well-defined nursing diagnoses, including all health teammembers. What you will do Collects data and conducts a focusednursing assessment of the health status of a patient. Participateswith other health care providers in the development andmodification of the patient-centered health care plan. Implementsnursing interventions within a patient-centered health care plan.

Assists in the evaluation of responses to interventions. Providesfor the maintenance of safe and effective nursing care rendereddirectly or indirectly. Advocates for the best interest of thepatient. Communicates and collaborates with patients and members ofthe health care team. Assists with health counseling and teaching.

Delegates and assigns nursing interventions to implement the planof care. Essential Qualifications The individual must be able towork the hours specified. To perform this job successfully, anindividual must be able to perform each essential job functionsatisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to performposition duties and the ability to communicate effectively withothers, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
