REPORTS TO
School Principal and/or Director of Nursing and Health Services
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Provide state mandated health services to students under the direction of the Health Services Coordinator.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with nursing procedures (tracheotomy, G-tube feedings, catheterization, diabetic care, etc.) highly preferred.
- Ability to medically document in a professional and thorough manner.
- Ability to exercise professionalism and confidentiality when providing information to the students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with students, parent, staff, and other personnel.
- Successful experience working in school health or in the area of pediatrics, desirable.
- Must have own transportation.
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Connecticut. Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Summer school rate as per the HESP contract. No holidays, vacation or sick leave during this scheduled program period. Applicants who cannot work through the entire program due to scheduling conflicts should not apply. Anticipated program dates are July 7, 2025
- August 1, 2025. The program will run Monday
- Friday.
Location and hours of employment are subject to change based on student enrollment.
